BREEAM 2/91 for Superstores

These assessments cover stores between 2500 and 5000 square metres selling predominantly grocery provisions.

Superstores are assessed on a range of environmental issues and awarded a rating of Fair, Good, Very Good or Excellent.

Assessments have been completed for Sainsburys, Tesco, Asda and Safeway stores since the scheme was launched in 1991. The highest scoring store ever was the Sainsbury's store at Greenwich, which achieved 100% of the credits available - a monumental achievement!

For further information on Superstores assessments, contact Miles Attenborough at Faber Maunsell's Sustainable Development Group London office.
