Kent County Council (KCC) - project management and design of new build and refurbishment of a wide range of public properties. KCC is the largest local authority in England, covering an area of 3,500 square kilometres and serving a population of over 1.3million.

Key features
- Grouped Schools PFI – Technical Advisors to KCC for six schools grouped under single PFI project providing new facilities for over 5,500 students. Supported preparation on Business Cases (SBC, OBC, and FBC), Output Specifications, stakeholder consultation, procurement, tendering and negotiation with Preferred Bidder. Subsequently engaged to work alongside KCC Head of PFI to manage post-Contractor appointment activities during construction
- School Extensions/Refurbishment – over 50 refurbishment projects ranging from central engineering plant replacement to school extensions. Design and project management roles embracing architecture, structural engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, planning supervision, cost management, along with specialists such as acoustics, geotechnical and transportation
- Nursing Homes – structural and services engineering design on two new nursing homes
- Libraries – architectural design, structural and services engineering design, cost management and project management. Additional duties included support to KCC with the application, negotiation and settlement of insurance claims
- Police facilities – investigative analysis of deficiencies in design and construction standards with recommendations to support insurance claim for remediation works. Engineering design to simplify and improve performance of current systems
- Building Maintenance – professional consulting services to support maintenance of over 700 properties in Kent with surveying, engineering, reactive and planned maintenance regimes and project management of KCC supply chain
