Pipelines and Water Distribution

Faber Maunsell is recognised as a leading consultancy in all aspects of water distribution and network pipeline rehabilitation.

The UK water industry is undergoing one of the world's largest investment programmes on the replacement and rehabilitation of water and waste distribution networks. Faber Maunsell has been at the forefront of this work for over 15 years with experience gained across the whole process from strategy and regulation to delivery. The services provided include:

Strategy - development of capital and investment planning pipeline strategies.
Best Practice and Operational Guidelines - preparation of technical documentation to ensure that clients achieve best practice solutions.
Contract Documentation and Specification - preparation of documentation to support procurement and delivery of projects.
Technical guidance - expert support with pipe materials, design, installation and maintenance.
Design - design of multiple networks or individual pipelines. Faber Maunsell has significant experience of major pipeline rehabilitation and replacement schemes of up to 5000 kilometres in one programme.
Network modelling - clean and waste water network modelling.
Construction Support - technical support to both clients and contractors involved in the delivery of projects.
Training - client and contractor training in all aspects of pipeline rehabilitation and specialist training in non-structural lining of water mains.
Audit - provision of technical audits in compliance with Water Industry water quality Regulation 25.
Project Management - provision of Project Management staff and expertise.
Supervision - provision of fully qualified site based supervisory staff.
