Environmental Impact Assessment

Faber Maunsell has one of the most comprehensive and experienced EIA teams in the UK with particular capability in carrying out investigations and preparing documentation to support proposals for development and transport schemes.

Faber Maunsell is a registered Environmental Impact Assessor under the IEMA registered scheme, rated in Category 1 following peer review. Our experts often contribute to masterplanning exercises and frequently play a major role in achieving planning and other forms of consent.

We have managed EIAs for projects ranging from some of the largest site development or redevelopment and infrastructure proposals in the UK through to smaller individual developments and sites. Our team works closely with clients to ensure that all aspects of the EIA process are fully incorporated into a seamless, integrated service.

We can assist throughout from the pre-planning stage, through feasibility studies, design, implementation, commissioning, subsequent monitoring and environmental site management. This includes an important Expert Witness capability and management of public consultation and communication exercises.

The team is able to call upon the full range of Faber Maunsell's environmental expertise as required, from ecology to site investigation including geotechnical and remediation studies. This enables us to provide a robust approach to EIA and Environmental Statements which incorporates all relevant regulatory requirements. Key services provided include:
